By rail: two ways in

The simplest rail route is the Airport Rail Link to Phaya Thai, then the BTS to Siam and a change onto the Silom line for Sala Daeng — the stop for Silom Road and Patpong.

Alternatively, leave the ARL at Makkasan, walk to MRT Phetchaburi and take the MRT Blue line to Si Lom or Lumphini, which is closer to the Sathorn business towers.

By taxi or Grab

A metered taxi from the Level 1 desk is about 350–450 THB including the 50 THB surcharge and tolls. Silom is on the far side of the city centre from the airport, so allow extra time in the evening peak.

About Silom and Sathorn

Silom and neighbouring Sathorn are Bangkok's central business district by day and one of its liveliest quarters by night. Office towers, banks and the green lung of Lumphini Park sit alongside the Patpong night market and the bars off Silom's side sois.

The area is served by both rail systems — the BTS Silom line and the MRT Blue line cross here — so once you are in, getting around is easy. Weekday mornings are busy with commuters; weekends are quieter and good for the park and the riverside temples nearby.
