Public buses from Suvarnabhumi Airport
Public buses are the cheapest way out of Suvarnabhumi of all — usually well under 50 THB — but also the slowest, since they sit in the same traffic as everyone else. They leave from the Public Transportation Centre, a short free shuttle ride from the terminal.

Getting to the bus terminal
City buses do not stop at the passenger terminal itself. Take the free airport shuttle from the bus stop on level 2 (arrivals) to the Public Transportation Centre, a few minutes away, where the public and inter-city buses depart.
The centre also has the ordinary metered-taxi stand and long-distance coaches, so it is worth knowing even if you end up not taking a bus.

Several city routes run from the centre towards different parts of Bangkok; fares are low — typically under 50 THB — paid in cash to the conductor or by card on newer air-conditioned buses.
Carry small change, and know the name of your stop or a nearby landmark, as not every driver or conductor speaks English. Journey times swing widely with traffic, so leave a generous margin if you have a booking to make.
Is the bus worth it?
Take the bus if you are travelling light, watching every baht, and not in a hurry. For most visitors with luggage and a schedule, the Airport Rail Link is only a little more and far faster and more predictable, and a metered taxi or transfer is far more comfortable.
